Gas...It Stinks!

On March 1st I drove by a little gas station and was shocked to see the price.

I was so shocked that I decided to take a picture of the sign...

I was even more shocked when I drove by that same station the next day as saw this...

 And then a week later...

And a week after that...

And this week...

I only live 5 miles from my job and it is now officially cheaper for me to take the bus than to drive my car. However, I'm still willing to pay for the convenience my car gives me.

But if gas hits $5.00 then I will seriously consider parking the car permanently. And if the prices continue to rise in April the way they did in March then that day is coming sooner rather than later.

What are gas prices like in your neck of the woods?

  1. WOWZA!!!!! We're freaking out in Texas because gas is at $3.49! This sure puts it into perspective.... Glad you don't have a long commute!

  2. WOW! That's insane. In NC, I think our average is around $3.49...although I've seen $3.55 and think that's highway robbery. I drive about 12-15 miles to work everyday and I am HATING these gas prices. Thank goodness I have a car with semi-good gas mileage.

  3. Hey Girlie!

I thought you were writing another post about the other gas.

My eyes popped out of my head this morning as the price was $3.65. I guess I shouldn't be complaining based on your prices. I think California is always higher though.

  6. It's hanging on at $3.49 to $3.59 depending on the gas station. I hate these prices so I can't imagine what you are paying...ridiculous. I'd take the bus as well if it goes over $5.00.

  10. I drive 3 miles to my morning job, and 25+ to my afternoon job. Gas prices here are currently hovering around $3.85, but they're fluctuating up and down. :(
