Living & Loving in California
is proud
(and super excited!)
to announce the
Summer is coming to a close as kids head back to school, the weather starts cooling off (unless you live in Southern California like myself), leaves start changing, stores start putting out Halloween, Thanksgiving, and even some Christmas decorations on the shelves, and we start preparing ourselves for all the joy autumn brings. Can you tell that Autumn is my favorite season?
Autumn is my favorite for many reasons but if I could sum up my feelings about fall in one word, my word would be COZY. To celebrate I am hosting the 5 Fall Favorites Link Party and Giveaway! And this giveaway will be HUGE!
The Link Party and Giveaway starts with this...
I know what you're thinking...
"Cortney, that's just an empty basket"
Well, it wont be empty for long! Actually, it will be overflowing soon and here's how:
The official start of Autumn is September 22. Between now and then I will be featuring 5 separate blog posts that each highlight one of my fall favorites. At the end of each post I will be adding THAT favorite item/thing to the basket...plus some other goodies along the way.
Now, for the part you are all waiting for...how to participate and win! It's easy, just follow these easy steps.
- Become a follower if you aren't already.
- Tell me which word best describes fall for you by leaving a comment here.
- Write a blog post about your 5 Fall Favorites and link it back up here between September 22 and September 25. (I will post a McLinky tool on 9/22)
That is SO easy! I will draw the winner on Sunday, September 26th.

Did I mention how excited I am?
Love your giveaway image :) Of course I knew fall was your favorite season...with your wedding and Halloween and all...just like Nana with her birthday on Halloween! Wow...can't think of any words other than DEAD...because all the trees loose their leaves and look dead for winter. Which would explain the whole Halloween thang! I'll be watching that basket fill up and will post your link on my sidebar.
ReplyDeleteSuper cool beans! I'll be following to see how HUGE this gets ....good luck my dear!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall .....hot chocolate...that's all I'm gonna say! :)
Roberta, come on...I would have thought you would have used the word "ORANGE"....since it has become one of your favorite colors!!
ReplyDeleteLove the basket and can't wait to see what goes in. September is my favorite month and fall my favorite time of the year. Leaves. That's the word. Leaves. Deep, vibrant colored leaves that cascade from burdened trees to create a carpet that rustles when one walks through. Love, love, love fall.
ReplyDelete"Harvest" sums up fall for me. I am excited for fall to arrive and now I'm excited about your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOh mercy...I hope I remember everything!! I am a new follower...and I will do a post on fav 5 of fall. My favorite word for Fall is Blessings.
ReplyDeleteI love Fall also, because of the natural colors that can be SO vibrant. Driving thru the countryside with my DH to pick up roadside flowers and cuttings - my favorite thing! I'm your newest follower - so come and check me out too. Hope you have a wonderful week. Sandi
ReplyDeleteHey Sorority Sister! What a fun idea! Please enter me. I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteFall to me? Pumpkins! I love going to a pumpkin patch and picking out some for my porch and table.
I'll try to link back the week you mentioned but please do remind us dear.
Thanks for the fun! My blog door is open if you ever want to visit.
I now have this on my sidebar for an extra entry. I will check back later with my other entries and eventually a fun FALL post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway! I'm a follower (via Google)and the word I think of for fall is "crisp".
ReplyDeleteI like this giveaway and I love fall. The word that comes to mind is "cider." I like the smell and the thought automatically sends my mind thinking of autumn, thanksgiving, and being with my whole family.
ReplyDeleteI will work on a post about my Fall Favorites and link it to yours when the date comes.
Stop by my blog anytime!
I am a new follower. ;-)
ReplyDeletemy word.....crisp
ReplyDeletethe air is crisp
the leaves are crisp
apples, pie crusts, straw...ooohhh!
New follower and my word for fall is ... family... I'm having an October Tea Party for my family.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy finding your blog and can't wait to see what happens.
Hi...I am your newest follower. My fall word would have been pumpkins because that is what I most associate fall with, but since it was taken in another comment, I will go with Scarecrows! Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a Fantastic Fall! Marlee.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower and a Bloggerette sister.
ReplyDeleteMy word for Fall is Maple Leaves. We have 3 huge old maples in our yard and we clean up soooo many leaves. We use some to mulch up and mulch the flower beds. I do love Fall. I will link a post later this month.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteAutumn makes me "wistful," so that is my word. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons because they are filled with light and lush colors and produce. Autumn chill, colorful leaves, and diminishing light remind me that I have to wait months for the light.
I don't have a blog yet so I can't post 5 things.
Cortney,
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I can't think of just ONE word that describes autumn...I am a bit wordy you know! How about CRISP? No, SMOKEY? I am thinking about the smell in the air during the fall. Burning leaves in cool, crisp, night air. That's what I think of when I think about fall!
Count me in on the giveaway!
Angela
PS. I'd rather be in California for the hot days than here for the cold winter that is coming!
Just posted my Fall Favorites Blog. Hope you enjoy it. Debbie
